Plain language. Effective August 11, 2026. Sesh is young and these terms will evolve with it — when they change, we'll post the new version here and bump this date.
What Sesh is
Sesh is an app for downhill mountain bikers — it records your rides, shows your crew live on the mountain, and replays your day lap by lap. Sesh is operated by Kelvin Benedict. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Riding is dangerous. Sesh is not a safety service.
Downhill mountain biking can seriously injure or kill you. Sesh records your riding and shares it with people you choose — that is all it does. It is not an emergency service, an SOS beacon, or a safety device. Live dots can be late, wrong, or missing: phones lose signal, batteries die, servers hiccup. Never rely on Sesh to know where someone is in an emergency, and never ride beyond your ability because an app is watching. Call emergency services when someone needs help. Ride with a buddy, and know your mountain.
Your account
- Sesh is invite-only. You get in through a rider who's already in, or through the waitlist.
- One account, your own identity. Don't share your account or ride as someone else.
- Keep your details accurate — your email is how you sign in and how deletion is confirmed.
- You must be at least 13 to use Sesh.
Be a good rider
Don't use Sesh to harass or stalk anyone, to track riders who haven't shared with you, to cheat leaderboards, or to do anything illegal on or off the mountain. Don't probe, scrape, or break the service. We're a small crew — keep it kind.
Your ride data stays yours
Your GPS tracks, your runs, your ride days — yours. You keep every right to them. To make the app work, you grant Sesh the permission it needs to store, process, and display your data to the audiences you choose — your visibility settings (public, friends, private) are the boundary of that permission. You can export your data or delete it, or delete your whole account, whenever you want. See the Privacy page for exactly who sees what. Using Sesh also generates de-identified usage aggregates — overall counts, never a record of your individual behavior — as described in the Privacy Policy.
The service, as it is
Sesh is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard on it, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recorded data will never be lost. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for lost rides, missed PRs, service downtime, or — read the safety section again — decisions you make on the mountain based on what the app shows you.
Ending things
- You can leave any time: delete your account in the app. It's immediate and permanent.
- We can suspend access: if these terms are broken, we may deactivate an account — sign-in stops working, but the data isn't deleted; the rider can still ask for deletion. We won't do it lightly, and deactivations are recorded in an audit log.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll post the new version here and bump the date at the top. Using Sesh after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
